Lee & Joey return from Wakatobi Resort

PELAGIAN DIVE YACHT

We’re back from another great overseas diving trip, this time from Wakatobi in South Suluwisi. This trip was a great mix of 5 days on the Live aboard Vessel Pelagian followed by another 5 days on the island resort of Wakatobi. The live aboard part of the trip took us through the surrounding islands of WAngiwangi – KAledupa – TOmea and BInongko. The diving included wall diving on pristine walls, drift diving around peaks of coral atolls and the always fun treasure hunt ‘muck’ diving around the local villages of Buton. Our crew of 10 (the capacity on the awesome vessel built in the 1960s) were treated from day 1 to some of the most scenic reef most of us had ever seen. Massive fans, colourful soft corals, pure white sand contrasting crystal clear blue water and literally thousands and thousands of fish. The fact that these areas are fairly remote shows that the lack of constant diving and overfishing has kept the Eco balance of corals and marine animals to a perfect level.  Read more

FREE Wednesday Night Dive MEET GLYDE STREET

MANTA CLUB DIVERS

Wednesday 5 Nov 2014 @ 7:00pm
Join the Perth Scuba Crew  for a FREE Wednesday Night Dive at GLYDE STREET JETTY led by our Perth Scuba PADI Instructor Sarah. There’s a nice wreck at the 12m depth, almost straight out from the end of Glyde Street. In the past it was standing on its end, which was an impressive site. In 20013 it fell over or was pushed… It’s still a good wreck to explore as it’s more complete than the other wrecks in the river. At night this can be a good spot for prawn and crab catching or just hunting critters to take their photo. Read more

Rottnest Island delivers beautiful diving

ROTTNEST ISLAND

The boss let me out on Saturday 1st November to dive at Rottnest Island. It was a beautiful day with a maximum of 8 knot winds from the North-east and less than a meter swell – PERFECT! First stop was Green Island Wall with visibility of around 15m. My buddy & I swam South to find the wall and followed the ledges until I found dozens of crayfish sitting happily on the sand waiting to be looped. Do you think I caught any? NOPE! But I did video them so you could all drool at the catch I missed out on. Next stop was Crystal Palace with barely any surge and visibility even better than Green Island Wall. Plenty of Blue Devils, Bullseye, Stingrays and Crayfish to be seen – still none caught though! Watch the video

Great value & super fun dive holiday

PUERTO GALERA, PHILIPPINES

Philippines Tour Departs 22 April 2015 – 7 night tour

Asia Divers and El Galleon Resorts are located in Puerto Galera on the North East tip of Mindoro. Puerto Galera was originally a fishing community. Then in the 1980s, the Philippine Government discovered just how many species of fish and corals there are here and declared the entire area a Marine Reserve. Once a thriving fishing village, Puerto Galera soon became the premier scuba diving destination in the Philippines. The Philippine Department of Tourism became involved and convinced the villagers to diversify and to become involved in tourism. Puerto Galera had two big things going in it’s favour, it’s beauty and the marine sanctuary PLUS it’s so easy to get to for those of us in Western Australia Read more
