Awesome crew get their PADI at Rottnest Island

Buff Bream Rottnest Island Western Australia

Joey and the Perth Scuba Crew enjoyed a beautiful day diving at Rottnest Island on Thursday 11 December 2014. Our PADI Instructor Kirsty and her 4 PADI Open Water Diver students had two beautiful final dives to achieve their PADI in only 3 days. The weather was gorgeous at a toasty 35°C, the water temperature was 20°C and the sun was shining. There was a slight easterly breeze and a very low swell meaning we had a flat ocean and very little surge – making swim through exploring so much easier! We saw loads of fish including schools of buff bream, cute yellow stripey fish (that’s definitely the latin name!), skip-jack, goat-fish, bright Blue Devil’s, a couple of dhu-fish and soooooooo many crayfish. It was a great day to be underwater and fantastic to see a new bunch of qualified divers become qualified – congratulations guys! Watch the video

Perth Scuba teaches WA Weekender to dive

WA Weekender Episode 18

Perth Scuba was joined by Channel 7’s WA Weekender to teach their host Mat Dwyer to scuba dive. Our experienced PADI Instructor Luan and Divemaster Sheridan gave Mat the skills he needed to hit the water with confidence. The added bonus was that Luan, Sheridan & Joey got to head off to Rottnest Island for a couple of boat dives as part of the filming… It was all work we swear and we had an awesome time enjoying the underwater world with the WA Weekender crew. Didn’t catch our divers become TV stars? Watch the video

Diving holiday to Manado & Lembeh Strait

MANADO + LEMBEH STRAIT

Tour Departs 17 July 2015 – 10 night tour

Considered as the diving Mecca for critters and macro marine life this area has rapidly gained popularity amongst macro photographers. The extremely diverse marine habitat in this stretch of water offers a plethora of macro species, many of which can found nowhere else on the planet. Diving here is the ultimate experience for photographers in search of the unusual and unseen. It is often referred to as a muck divers paradise as most of the sites are either sandy areas or small reefs, there are no spectacular walls of drop offs here. With over 30 dive sites to choose from and even a WWII wreck all within a short boat ride over calm waters from the resort it is no surprise that the Lembeh Strait is a world class dive destination. Joey is returning in 2015 to lead the Perth Scuba Crew on a fun dive holiday with a great group of travellers who enjoy their diving and socialising – and you’re welcome to join us and share the fun! Read more
