BHP Jetty to the Wreck Trail
written by Simon Kong – Perth Scuba PADI Divemaster
BHP jetty tonight was crawling with 4WD drivers driving very fast on the beach, and suspicious people staying in their cars. We waited up to 7:15pm to see who else was coming tonight. As there was only two of us, we did not feel comfortable leaving our car in this car park for the dive, so we made the executive decision to move to the Wreck trail instead.
What a good decision that was. Arrived at the wreck trail, we were welcome by no wind and next to no waves. There were already some divers in the water who were just coming out as we were going in. Viz was a nice 5 to 7 meters with a temperature of 19 degrees. Saw some huge lion fish in the water and it was quite a nice night dive.
