Bragging rights at the Manta Club night dive

written by Sarah Toohey – Perth Scuba PADI Dive Master

I don’t want to brag or anything but our night dive at the North Wall of the Port Coogee marina on Wednesday 12 February 2014 was AMAZING!

Not only did I get to watch a pod of dolphins playing in the bay through the glorious, golden sunset coloured waters when I arrived at the site, we all got to experience the abundance of underwater critters throughout the rocky wall of the groin. The Lion Fish were big and colourful, hanging around close to the edges so they were easy to spot and beautiful to watch. Big and little cuttlefish, that giant, orange seahorse, crays and I wish I had seen the big octopus moving over the rocks like Liz!

More divers new to blowing bubbles at night were with us and had a blast searching through the boulders for all that life. I felt like I was being led on a tour as these guys pointed out crays and octopus and globefish. Always great to catch up with you all, hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!
