Your Live Aboard Itinerary
Days aboard the live aboard vessel generally involve a 6:30am dive, followed by breakfast, a dive at 9:30am, lunch at 12:00pm, and afternoon dives at 1:30pm and 4:00pm. Dinner is approximately 7:00pm. Day 1: Arrive San Cristobal to join the Humboldt Explorer vessel Board the vessel, check out dive, depart for Day 2 dive location. Day 2: North Seymour Island Sightings include turtles, hammerheads & sea lions. Day 3: Darwin Island Sightings include hammerheads, whale sharks, eagle rays, Galapagos sharks & Silky sharks. Day 4: Darwin Island Sightings include hammerheads, whale sharks, eagle rays, Galapagos sharks & Silky sharks. Day 5: Wolf Island Sightings include hammerheads, eagle rays, Galapagos sharks, turtles & silky sharks. Day 6: Isabela Island – Cabo Marshall Sightings include giant manta rays, mobula rays, turtles, hammerheads & black-striped salema. Day 7: Cousins Rock Sightings include sea horses, frog fish, sea lions and eagle rays. Land tour of Santa Cruz to visit the gian Tortoises. Day 8: San Cristobal Early morning trip to see the sea lions and land iguanas. Depart the vessel and return to Quito. The Galapagos Islands has been rated for many years as one of the top ten best sites for diving in the world. All scuba diving lovers have this destination as a must in their diving sites to be explored. The main attraction is Wolf and Darwin which are sites were divers can see an immense diversity of marine life, including schools of hammer head sharks and the biggest creature in the oceans, the whale shark. People can swim and see all this amazing underwater life. There are a few and very selective options for live aboard diving cruises, you have to make sure that you find the best option for you with even a year in advance since the spaces are so limited for diving in Galapagos. All cabins are air-conditioned and have private bath and showers, an ocean view, flat screen televisions and can be arranged to provide 2 twin beds or one large bed depending on guest needs.
The vessel offers 6 lower and 2 upper staterooms, each with private baths, full-size twin beds that can convert to queen beds and large windows. A teak sun-deck features open and covered areas, a Jacuzzi, wet bar, BBQ grill and ample seating for all; the indoor dining and lounge area comfortably seats all guests as well. A large dive deck with camera rinse tank, large camera table, wetsuit drying area and hot showers accommodates 16 divers with ease, and a cruising speed of up to 10 knots means more itinerary options than are available aboard slower vessels.
