    Contact us for a full information package today. You will learn how to teach what you learned in your Dive Master course, put into practice the skills you have developed over your diving career and become one of the most sought after dive professionals in the industry.

    Pre-requisites:

    • Be certified as a PADI Divemaster or a PADI Assistant Instructor or be an instructor in good standing with another training organization for at least six months (Contact Us for qualifying credentials.)
    • Be certified as an Emergency First Response InstructorPerth Scuba PADI Instructor Development Course
    • Be at least 18 years old
    • Be certified as a diver for at least six months
    • Have 60 logged dives that include experience in night, deep and navigation diving to participate in the Instructor Development Course. You’ll need 100 logged dives to take the Instructor Exams
    • Have proof of CPR and First Aid training within the last 24 months. The Emergency First Response course meets this requirement
    • Be fit for diving and submit a Medical Statement (PDF) signed by a physician within the last 12 months

    Learning the PADI system of diver education is not only rewarding within Dive Instruction itself, but can be applied to almost any presentation that may come your way.

    The PADI IDC will have you presenting theory modules to your peers in the classroom – where you will be scored and evaluated by your Course Director. You will be given guidance in to how best to teach, how to incorporate related topics at the same time as sharing your experiences with students to give them real time “values” of a skill or subject.

    You will be shown how to supervise, position and execute skills for the benefit of students in training, as well as how to evaluate a skill to be able to move on to the next.

    The IDC is an intensive 9 day course which will leave you prepared for your career as a PADI Open Water Instructor.
