We had a great start to the day with an awesome BBQ at the Perth Scuba store. Once the food had vanished we made our way down to the Kwinana Grain Terminal. Visibility was about 10m around and under the jetty thanks to the perfect blue sky above. There were a few sea creatures out and about such as stingrays, schools of blowfish and plenty of starfish doing what starfish do best (nothing), but they were still cool to look at. We also saw plenty of horses getting a run on the beach and going for a swim in the water (sea horses?). The underwater photographers were out in force today capturing the macro life that is situated under the jetty among the coral and other discarded items that form mini artificial reefs. I’m sure they appreciated the non existent swell which made life very easy for them. Once we hit the 50 minute mark we all met at the dive flag and made our way out as a group back to the car park. Once everyone had signed off we headed back to Perth scuba ready to continue our already awesome day.
Wooohooooooo! The shore water temperature has finally hit the 20’s! We’re officially on the downward slide to full on summer – can’t wait!
