Navigating Ammo Jetty at night
written by Simon Kong – Perth Scuba PADI Instructor
Low wind and no rain was what we got on the night of Wednesday 23 July 2014. We had two DMTs that came in for the dive. After suiting up, we headed out to the jetty. Tide was low, but there was barely any fisherman tonight, although there was a bit of swell. The viz was not ideal tonight, but was a good navigation exercise for our dmts. We saw a few school of fish, a few fishing line that we avoided, shopping trolley, and portable chairs. Venturing slightly out we same even more portable chairs interlocked between each other. Overall a nice navigation exercise.
