Lionfish, seahorses, boxfish and more

It was another gorgeous hot day this Sunday 25th January 2015 as 19 of Perth Scuba’s club divers and myself met at the shop for a BBQ breaky of snags and rolls and the dive briefing before heading on down to the dive site of the day the Rockingham Wreck Trail.

Beautiful flat conditions greeted us as we arrived at a very busy foreshore. Once geared up we headed on in and the vis wasn’t to bad around 2-3m.

Alone the way we got to see Lionfish, Seahorses, Boxfish, Western Whiptails, Snapper, large schools of tiny bait fish, Starfish, Cowfish, Western Striped Cardinal Fish, Western Gobble guts, Tarwhine, Stripey’s and large schools of Rough Bullseyes who didn’t mind how close to got to them.

It was another great dive in Perth waters and what better place to be on a really hot day then diving.

Big congrats to the New Perth Scuba instructor’s as well who were completing there course at the wreck trail as well, Well done crew and I know the students of the future are in great hands.

Catch us next Sunday at the shop for the dive site of the day and of course the yummy breaky on the BBQ.
