What a glorious day for a Manta Club dive!

written by Sarah Toohey – Perth Scuba PADI Dive Master

What a glorious day for a dive! That’s what 35 Manta Club divers also decided for our regular Sunday morning shore dive on Sunday 19 January 2014.

Ploughing through our sausages and fresh cut onions (thank you!), we made our way to Robbs Jetty and the sand dune of terror which was well forgotten once in the water.

Up and coming DMT Louise Crawley briefed the crew before making the swim out to the underwater pylons. We saw some amazing big-headed Gurnard Perch, schooling drummers with many more of the usual pomfrets and bat-fish along with some cheeky damsels doing their best to intimidate our divers from their territory.

Octopus are out in force at the moment and are loving the cameras! Popping out of their hidey-holes and putting on a show or movement and colours.

So come on out for our club dives, we are lucky to be diving with some fun and fabulous people so if you’re looking to get back into diving, find a buddy or just hang out for a dive we would love to see you!!
