The GUE Fundamentals course is designed to cultivate the essential skills required by all sound diving practice, irrespective of level or environment. A pre-requisite for all GUE classes, except Recreational Diver level 1 course, GUE Fundamentals performs a three-fold function:
- it provides the recreational diver, who does not desire further diver training, with an opportunity to advance his/her basic diving skills, thereby developing more comfort, confidence, and competence in the water
- it provides the diver with aspirations of more advanced diver training with the tools that will contribute to a greater likelihood of success
- it provides non-GUE trained divers with a gateway to GUE training.
Sound all too technical? It’s about giving you the skills to be an absolute guru of your buoyancy underwater and gain a new level of thinking to improve your diving. Read more…

Congratulations to all our Perth UF13 Fringe winners!!!
Filmed and edited by Nigel Barker. This is his entry into the 2013 Underwater Festival. Nigel won the Directors Award and came in the Top 3 for Perth Scuba’s Underwater Festival 2013 Fringe Event.
Nigel had these comments about his video “Diving on a day of poor visibility and strong currents off Rottnest Island in Western Australia. It was the only weekend when we could get into the water. The Scorpion Fish is one of the world’s most venomous fish. It is so confident in its camouflage and defense that it remains motionless when approached making this little critter a photographer’s delight.b The music is licensed to me” Click here for his final edit.
