Jelly Wrestling in a Palau Lake…

Recently Joey led a group of 16 Perth Scuba-ites for an adventure on board the Palau Siren in Micronesia. We had an awesome time on board the luxury live aboard where we ate too much, dived a lot, explored the Rock Islands of Palau, snorkelled Jellyfish Lake and laughed ourselves silly over our animal onesy night (more on that next issue).

Click here for a short video from Joey, filmed with her Nikon D800 in Underwater Housing in Jellyfish Lake and Sandy Paradise, one of the many dive sites we visited. Want to see more from the Perth Scuba Palau Tour? Check out the Perth Scuba YouTube Page for more of daily diving videos!

Stop the Shark Cull

The WA Government has applied to continue its shark cull for a further three years, despite the massive community opposition to this brutal and illogical program. The Public Environmental Review (PER) is now open for four weeks.  Click here to make your submission to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Use the form here to make a submission to the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) as part of the PER, asking them to reject the shark cull proposal. You can add your own comments to the top of the submission text. The initial ‘trial’ of the shark cull has been a failure, with an increased risk to beach-users and a very high rate of deadly by-catch. Read more…

Get your FREE Suunto Transmitter

The Suunto FREE Transmitter Offer is coming to an end. Until 30th June 2014 Suunto are giving away a free wireless transmitter with all of their wireless compatible dive computers including the Vyper Air, D4i, D6i, D9tx and HelO2.

With the Suunto wireless transmitter you can monitor tank pressure and air consumption data at the same time as you monitor depth and time – directly from your wrist. The transmitter also enables your compatible dive computer to show an estimation of the remaining air time throughout your dive. Real-time air consumption is also stored in the computer’s memory so you can track your consumption from dive to dive. The pressure readings from the transmitter are displayed both numerically and graphically on your dive computer.

So have you been thinking about adding some new diving bling to your wrist? Then get into Perth Scuba before 30th June and get a FREE Suunto Wireless Transmitter valued at $600 with any D-Series Suunto Dive Computer. Perth Scuba will even let you lay-by your purchase with a deposit of 20% – just show this offer with your purchase to receive your FREE Transmitter.
