Perth Scuba News – Issue 124 – 20th November 2010

LEE’S UPDATE – NOT UP LEE’S DATE!!!

Cray Season is Here!

Wow – November 15 sure came around fast this year!!! The word around town is that there are plenty around to grab so if you aren’t out there already… what are you waiting for? We are already getting reports of where they are catching them so if you would like to know, ask us at the shop – we’ll only be too happy to help you out.

Store Refit

The store refit is back on track after a bit of a delay with shop fitters… ok a lot of delay with shop fitters, but not to worry – we are well on the way now. For those of you yet to see the original Perth Scuba store, it’s starting to look a bit different. We’ll keep you posted with some photos in next week’s newsletter.

New Website

For most of you who are yet to visit the new Perth Scuba Website, we are now up and running, thus the different look Newsletter. Joey has been working very hard to get it ready and is still adding things to see daily. There are some great plans for the site so even if you have been there lately, keep checking in to see what’s new. Hey, you can even set your internet home page to www.perthscuba.com so you can watch Nemo swim around the screen :)

Photo Competition Winners

A big Congrats to the winners of the 2010 Perth Scuba Photography Competition. Dean Eldrid took out first prize with his Above Water shot of Mabul Island in Borneo. For his efforts he takes home a Scubapro Everdry 4 Dry Suit valued at $1450. Well Done Dean. Daniel Welfare won a Day with a Pro Photographer valued at $550 for his under over photograph taken in Egypt. Mate it was so close! Everyone that owns a camera tries to do what you have absolutely nailed… and with a compact too! Well Done. And finally, a huge effort from Dawn Scotson who’s up close and personal photograph of a school of Barracuda was brilliant. To get so close and get everything right whilst in mid water is a great effort. Dawn wins her very own white Sea Wing Nova Package. Power and comfort with no effort coming your way Dawn. Way to go!
