Sunday 23rd December 8:30am (FREE Shore Dive)

Join the Perth Scuba Crew for an explore of Point Peron past Rockingham. Meet us at Perth Scuba 180 Bannister Road Canning Vale at 8:30am for your FREE BBQ brekky, followed by a shore dive.

It’s possible to dive on both sides of Point Peron. Immediately in front of the carpark is a small patch of sand which gives access to the South side of the point. This side is pretty shallow and can be difficult depending on conditions. If you follow the path from the Western side of the carpark over the hill you will come to a bigger beach on the West side of the point which provides easy access to more sheltered and deeper diving.

The dive site is littered with kelp, but if you look hard enough through the kelp along the reef you will come across a number of caves and swim throughts that have plenty of critters!

All levels of divers are welcome to join us. Meet at the shop at 8:30am.

Tuesday 25th – Wednesday 26th December CLOSED

Need gear or air/nitrox fills? Make sure you head into Perth Scuba on Christmas Eve to get your gear and air fills sorted – we’re open until 6:00pm!

Sunday 30th December 8:30am (FREE Shore Dive)

Join the Perth Scuba Crew for a dive and FREE BBQ brekky on a lovely Sunday morning. All levels of divers are welcome to join us! This week we’ll be heading to Mettam’s Pool – north of the river. The weather’s got to be good for this one so we’ll keep our eyes peeled on the forecast.

You’ll see a good number and variety of sea-life at this site. The best reef is to the South of the descent point. The reef ledge drops off to 5-8m and this makes for a good dive along the back of the ledge with lots of small caves and holes to find critters within.

If the weather’s not good enough for Mettam’s Pool, we’ll be hunting Weedy Seadragons at the South Mole.

Tuesday 1st January 2013 CLOSED

Need gear or air/nitrox fills? Make sure you head into Perth Scuba on New Years Eve to get your gear and air fills sorted – we’re open until 6:00pm!

Wednesday 2nd January 2013 (Rottnest Island Boat Dives)

Join the Perth Scuba Crew for a day on the boat enjoying 2 dives at Rottnest Island. Your day out will include 2 x boat dives, 2nd cylinder, lunch, snacks and drinks and it’s only $140pp.

Rottnest Island is an awesome dive destination with plenty of big and small critters to amaze you. Click here to book or call 9455 4448 to jump onto the boat with the Perth Scuba Crew.

Sunday 6th January 2013 (FREE Shore Dive)

Join the Perth Scuba Crew for a dive checking out Jervoise Bay. Meet us at Perth Scuba at 8:30am for a free BBQ breakfast followed by a drive to the dive site of the day. This week its

The entry involves a very short walk with an easy entry from the old jetty. You start at the jetty in about 3-4m over a sandy bottom with good visibility. As you swim along the rock wall the bottom falls away to about 6m and visibility typically drops off at this point. The depth gradually reaches 11m after about a 30min swim. You won’t cover this whole dive site in one dive – it’s 700m long!

The rock wall contains lots of caves, at least one is big enought to swim into. The bottom is very flat and featureless so it’s the rock wall you’ll be watching. Around the rock you’ll find schools of buffalo bream, numerous small fish, morwongs, wrass, leatherjacket plus SEAHORSES! Plus expect to see nudibranchs, ascidians, and cuttlefish!
