North Mole morning dive with glassy conditions
North Mole morning dive with glassy conditions
Sunday 8 December 2019

This Sundays’s club dive was held at North Mole, a great dive site right next to the Fremantle lighthouse. After a quick BBQ breakfast at the shop our group of 7 divers jumped in our cars and headed down to the dive site
The sky was clear and just some slight winds made the conditions perfect for a morning dive. As you have to climb down some rocks to get to the dive site, it’s not the easiest to access, but having a rope makes it a lot easier to get in and out of the water.
After getting in the water and heading over to the wreck the visibility was very good at around 6-7 meters. There were lots of life around, especially crayfish, one of the buddy pairs came up with 4 of them in their bag. Heading back along the wall the visibility got a bit worse, just a few meters as a lot of sand was stirred up but a cuttle fish was still spotted.
After finishing the dive we climbed back up the rocks and filled out some logbooks before calling it a day to go enjoy the last bit of the weekend. We had a great group this week that all made the dive a fun and awesome experience!
