So another year begins and with it comes the first Night Dive of 2017.  After a scorching 41°C January day, we were all excited to hit the water at The Coombe. Six divers hit the water as darkness fell on perfect conditions. Two divers decided to tackle the 250m surface swim in the hopes of finding the deep wrecks. The other 4 divers headed out to buoy 221 and set out to see if we could find wrecks, crabs and prawns.

The water was nice and warm and we weren’t disappointed with the visibility either. We were blessed with an abundance of prawns, crabs and seahorse galore.  We even spotted two Manta Shrimp which was a real treat. After a nice cruisy dive we started to make our way back to the buoy to do our safety stop and surface and crossed paths with the two divers that had set off for the deep wrecks. We all successfully completed our safety stops and surfaced. Thanks everyone that came along it was a pleasure to dive with you and I hope to see you at a club dive again soon. Great start to 2017.
