Sunny Sunday morning at South Mole

Sunday 19 November 2017

Perth Scuba South Mole Fremantle free dive

Another sunny Sunday morning and the morning dive was planned for South Mole. With breakfast cooking and 10 divers ready to go we finished our feast and made our way to Fremantle.  At the site the tide was high and the water was full of weed but that didn’t put anyone off.

Once in the water we surface swam around the corner and then dropped down to make our way up the wall. The viz wasn’t bad but the surge wasn’t the best. We managed to spot a couple of crays hiding in a pipe and then some more deep in the rocks, the site was also full of wrasse, box fish and old wives. We also swam into a couple of large schools of trumpeter.

After 50 minutes we made our back in and battled the surge back to land. By this time the wind and picked up and the viz was starting to disappear.
